Melanie Jernigan
Other than taking a basic wire-wrapping class and a couple of jewelry fabrication classes, I am primarily a self-taught artist based in Orlando, Florida. I have a degree in business from Auburn University and have been working in the Marketing/Advertising field for many moons. I started designing jewelry in 2005 when a friend suggested we take a class together, and I was totally hooked from then on.
Although it is often difficult to balance my daily life and work schedule with my creative time, I have been making the conscious choice to devote more time, even if it’s just 30 minutes a day, to creating jewelry and growing my passion as a business. My dream is to become a truly independent artist and to one day fully support myself through my craft while constantly learning and growing as an artist, and I welcome you to join me on my journey!
